Chrome issue

by Fletch247 » Mon Jan 30, 2017 11:45 am

More of a Chrome issue I guess but hoping someone can advise. The attached image shows the tour on a laptop running Win 10. All drivers etc are up to date. I have reinstalled Chrome but no change. Its OK with any other browser and OK with Chrome on any other machine. But on this particular machine with Chrome I have problems. Its driving me crazy!
Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

I think this may be a display issue. The laptop giving me problems is 4K 32bit. Is there a know issue with 4K displays?

What is the version of your Chrome browser on the laptop ?
Can you share an URL of your tour ?

We checked the tour on different browsers on different laptops. With 4K screens. And we did not face this issue.
Whatever the resolution level of the loaded tiles.

Does your laptop have a slow access to the net ?
I don't think that the issue comes from not loaded tiles, because you do not have errors displayed in your screenshot.
By the way, your screenshot is a cropped one. So maybe you have some load errors displayed.

Do you have some ?

Hi Gérald,

Laptop is on fast net access so no issue there.
Why is nothing simple?

Looks like it's back to square one. :(

I already faced the problem, and after a while looking for a fix, I found it just recently.
The problem comes from you GPU.
On Chrome and Chrome only, your main GPU thinks the virtual tour needs 3D, and uses all its 3D rendering stuff, which obviously doesn't render well, and makes it laggy.

To solve this, you have to disable your main GPU for Chrome.

Good luck

Thanks for the suggestion! Although I have already tried this. The issue is only on one machine with Chrome. Its OK on any other machine, Chromebook, Android, IOS. I have gone through all Chrome settings, cleared cache etc. and drawn a blank. Its getting annoying now :(
