Don't display thumbnail when entering VR mode

by Morne » Sun Nov 13, 2016 12:00 pm

Hi all

I build a tour and enable VR.

When pressing on the VR icon, I expect to immediately enter VR. However for some reason a thumbnail of my tour is displayd first so I have to click AGAIN for it to enter.

So I don't want to click twice, just click VR and it should be in the mode. I'm sure it's a simple setting or edit I'm missing somewhere.

You can't skip the screen, it's needed to launch the tour in fullscreen and count as a user touch for any video (hotspots or video scene) that is in your first scene to play.

You could edit the screen in the xml, change image and maybe use something else (for example a transparent image with the word Enter) or even modify the text. You'll find the xml for the vr mode intermediary screen in same area as here: viewtopic.php?f=91&t=30832&p=179867#p179867

That just doesnt sound right

For example this DOES NOT have that thumbnail and goes straight into VR:

It's not made with Panotour it's hand coded in KrPano.

Feel free to edit the built tour yourself to access VR Mode directly without any of the actions that the intermediary screen provides, however we do not provide any KrPano support.

Well can you at least give me a hint of what to do?

Do I just need to edit the tour_core_vr.xml file and that's it?

OK so I got as far as editing the "tour_core_vr.xml" file
on line 615
I changed: "set(layer[webvr_enterbutton].onclick, webvr.toggleVR() ;set(visible, false); );"
to: "set(layer[webvr_enterbutton].visible, false); webvr.toggleVR() ;set(visible, false); "

This ALMOST works. On mobile it now enters VR, although NOT fullscreen
On desktop it enters, NOT fullscreen and I can't move around, it just shows static left/right images

Can anybody help please?!?

As I said we do not provide any KrPano support, we can not assist you with removing the intermediary screen and removing all it's functions (fullscreen, launching VR Mode, playing videos / sound in that first scene, etc..); it's not a simple few lines of code you'll be removing to skip the screen, you need to recreate and initiate all the functions that the screen activates when you click on it too.

If you just want the user to only have one action before accessing VR Mode, you can start the tour directly on the intermediary screen if you add ?vr to the end of the URL.

We do not refund software, as explained in our General FAQ and [url=http://store.kolor.com/general-conditions-of-sales.html]Sales Policy[/url}.

You are willing to support editing XML files to enable stereo panoramas
You are NOT willing to add that as a main feature built into Panotour
You are NOT willing to help editing YOUR generated xml files to bypass the overlay (which has nothing to do with KRPAno)
You are NOT willing to give a refund (most software companies don't)

I wonder why I purchased your software
