Is this possible with panotour?

by jakedonahue » Tue Mar 15, 2016 10:16 pm

I'm still learning the ins and outs of panotour, and I already know I'll need to upgrade to Pro to achieve much of what I want. But once I do, will I be able to create an interface like this: https://tour.lcp360.com/nocache/centurylink/

Does anyone have any examples of something similar? I obviously don't need it to look exactly like that link (I believe they used KrPano for this after looking at the source code -- though I could be mistaken), but something like that would be awesome.

Thanks!

Hello, and welcome to the forum,

You are correct, it was coded with KrPano, so you wouldn't be able to get that exact tour.

Let's break down the elements (from what I can see) and then I'll make a second one from this one with what can be done in Panotour:
- Custom cursor
- Projections in the contextual menu (right click menu)
- Links in the contextual menu (right click menu)
- Arrow hotspots for navigation
- Header image (the white background at the top)
- Top corner logo
- Panorama menu
- Groups of panoramas (Main level / Delta Sky360 / Etc..)
- Floorplan
- Multi-floorplan with selector
- Floorplan button
- Contact us button
- Panorama title
- Thumbnails menu with tabs
- Control Bar
- Loading bar (at the bottom of the screen)

Can be done in Panotour Pro (the links are to the documentation on the concerned plugins):
- Projections in the contextual menu - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ntext_Menu
- Links in the contextual menu - See above
- Arrow hotspots for navigation
- Header image (the white background at the top) - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... one#Header
- Top corner logo - It's actuall a simple button, with the action of navigating back to the first panorama, though a logo plugin also exists ;) - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ple_Button
- Panorama menu - Not responsive though, it does not group into one button and long list like in your example - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... orama_Menu
- Groups of panoramas (Main level / Delta Sky360 / Etc..)
- Floorplan
- Multi-floorplan with selector - The selector is a drop-down menu, not a slider of thumbnails of the floorplan - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... Floor_Plan
- Floorplan button - it's a simple button
- Contact us button - it's a simple button
- Panorama title - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... zone#Title
- Thumbnails menu with tabs - No tabs, but you can have a thumbnails menu - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... Thumbnails
- Control Bar - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ontrol_bar
- Loading bar (at the bottom of the screen) - http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... d_Loopings

The rest was either hand coded or not supported (custom cursors are Flash-only, for example).
You can try recreating the tour in the demo version of Panotour Pro.

If there are any features I may have missed and you have any questions on, just ask!
