PTP 2.3 and Windows Edge browser

by Virtuel Rundtur » Fri Aug 21, 2015 8:03 am

Hi

I just received a disturbing mail from one of my customers.

They says that elements are missing, when using the new Edge browser in Windows 10.

I have on Mac computers here, so I can´t test is, so they have sent me a screenshot.

The tour address is http://assens360.dk/eventyrbakken

I have attached a screenshot from Edge, so you can see the difference.

I am using the "devices="desktop|tablet" in the events section on several of the plugins. Maybe Windows 10 Edge dosent support this?? and simply dont show this part?

Im having a meeting on monday, with the customer, and I would like to give them an answer. They are considering buying a lot of tours from me :-)

Best regards

Henrik

PTP 2.5 beta 2 is said to resolve this issue.

As mediavets says the 2.5 beta 2 solve the issue.

You can also solve the issue on 2.3.2 projects with this trick to update the krpano player version : http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... 8stable.29

Thank you.

Is there any way to upgrade already build tours, without rebuilding in Panotour Pro?

It's possible but not easy and need to test all the tour after that.

1. build a blank tour with PTP 2.3.2 with the trick above.
2. copy the YOURTOUR.js and YOURTOUR.swf files generated into the YOURTOURdata directory
3. into the OLD project to update replace the YOURTOUR.js and YOURTOUR.swf by these ones (rename them if needed)
4. into the OLD project go the the graphics directory and have a look on .js and .swf files and update them with the ones into the krpano 1.18.5 plugins directory if exist.
5. tour should work ... but ... test it, test it and test it again ;)
