HTML5 Desktop Tooltip

by capotondi » Mon Jun 02, 2014 7:34 pm

Hi Guys,
i'm noticing that we still have the same issue about tooltips on desktop when flash is disabled. It is just a matter to add the onout line on the controlbar but it would be nice to have it fixed.

i saw that the topright tooltip position has been fixed so that i dont have to go to fix manually the tooltip for buttons located on the right of the screen, thanks.

One more thing, it would be useful to have the chance to add also a layer on the panos to use as a button we have in the style but that can be used on single panos.

Best Regards
Alessio

Well,
i thought was known.

When viewing the tour in HTML5 on desktop computer(flash player plugin disabled), the controlbar's tooltip don't disappear onout unless you click on one button, because the function is missing. This happens for sure with docked controlbar.

I already modified the tour, it is wierd You can reproduce it, i had it all the time.
or example before i had the issue also the all the button on the right side had the tooltip appearing on the left side of the screen, had to change tooltip alignment, now not anymore.

But about the controlbar i still have it, i have to add the onout="hidetooltip" on the controlbar section in the skin at the style name, in fact it is already present the function at style name="themeunanime_btn_style_on" but it seems i need to add it also at style name="themeunanime_btn_style" and Style name="themeunanime_btn_down_style" to have the tooltip disappearing onout when no button is clicked and when flash plugin is disabled.

Let me know if this can help you or i will find a way to rebuild a small tour and show you the case.
Best Regards
Alessio

Don't know what to say guys, i will dig it more, i had this issue on firefox chrome and safari with all PTP even 2.1.1 on windows 7 and MAC os.
I start to think i'm crazy :) or maybe not

well this is the link to the final tour with handcoding
www.360tourview.eu/villaadejegolf

and this is a low tour i just built without any modification, please note there are no panos and the only one is really low resolution. In this case you can also notice that some picture of the gallery hasn't been exported in the rendering, but i think this is a known issue. Please roll over the control bar without clicking any button and then move away, you will see the tooltip won't disappear, well it disappear on firefox but not on chrome 34 and not on safari 7.0.4 now it disappear on chrome 35 but if with 2 lines of coding it works also on 34 and safari why don't fix it?

Hope this help.

Ok verified with the html5 player, thanks for your samples :)
I'll add this problem to be patched as soon as possible.

For gallery trial version has this code :
<item name="item_1" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_2" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_3" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/bathroomdown.jpg"/>
<item name="item_4" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_5" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_6" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_7" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_8" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_9" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_10" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/"/>
<item name="item_11" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/upbedroom.jpg"/>
<item name="item_12" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/uphall.jpg"/>
<item name="item_13" title="" caption="" value="trialdata/graphics/gallery/bedroomdown.jpg"/>

Do you have special chars into image names ?
You can send me the kpt file of the project please ? Thanks

At this moment i'm unable to send you the kpt but i can tell you that the missing picture's names are:

kitchen1.jpg
kitchen.jpg
kitchen2.jpg
bedroomdown.jpg
and some others all with this kind of names, the weird thing is that the pictures are actually exported in the gallery folder and also in the item names as you can see so it just miss the name in the path.

I must say this is project i always use and save so i should test it on a new project.

Best Regards
Alessio
