Just purchased and installed the 64 bit version on Windows 7 and I can't even launch the application, nothing happens at all.

Tried uninstalling everything (version 1 & 2), restarted and installed again but still no luck.

I just get a spinning cursor for about 1-2 seconds, then nothing.

Any suggestions?

welcome on Forum!

just to be sure...
you installed a 64bit Version of apg 2.0 final on Windows 7?
is it a 64 bit Windows 7? (not explecitely mentioned...)
if you've running a Firewall and an AV scanner.... if you Switch them of for a Minute.... can APG be stated now?
is the Driver for your GPU Card up to date?

Did you try to re-download the Windows 64bits installer of Panotour 2.0 ?

Hi Georg/Gérald,

sorry for the delayed reply, to answer your questions:

>you installed a 64bit Version of apg 2.0 final on Windows 7?
Yes, the downloaded file is called PanotourPro_x64_200_2014-02-05.exe

>is it a 64 bit Windows 7?
Yes correct

>if you've running a Firewall and an AV scanner.... if you Switch them of for a Minute.... can APG be stated now?
I disabled windows firewall and microsoft security essentials - still no luck running panotour pro

>is the Driver for your GPU Card up to date?
Updated, restarted and no change

Also tried removing the 64bit version and installing the 32 bit version called PanotourPro_win32_200_2014-02-05.exe
Same issue, cursor spins for about a second then nothing

I also re-downloaded the 64 bit installer and installed again, no luck

FYI, I had no problems running version 1.7.1 64 bit version, I have installed this again just to be sure and this works fine.

Hi.. Do you have a Virus Software app installed... Sometimes that can block new software installations and prevent them from opening..

No, this is not the issue, I have no problems installing the app. I can also install and use the older version fine 1.7.

2.0 just will not startup.

You really need to send a support ticket to Kolor.. http://www.kolor.com/contact.html

Mark it for the attention of Alexandre Jenny or Lionel..

Its the weekend now so no hope of support but one of them might look in.....

Oh.. Well that is not normal, Kolor a very good with their support.. They do get a lot of emails so it might have got lost.... Pity its not a working day.. I suggest you mark it urgent and see.... I would be very surprised if you did not get a quick response..

I checked this on my win8.1 Windows instsallation.
I do not manually have to start ptp 2.0 with admin privs. .... but only because my Windows user I use is member of the local admin Group.
so maybe the real issue is that users which work with normal user privs under Windows (without admin rights) do have this issue... ptp 2.0 requires admin privs? would Sound like an Explanation for me, but is it a bug or a Feature issue?

Liebe Gruesse,
Georg
