A word about transparency

by jschrader » Fri Dec 06, 2013 7:16 pm

I already told you earlier that there are issues with transparency settings and values in the menu bar. In the meantime it has improved a little, but there are still some issues that need to be solved, not only in the menu bar.

1. Colour values range between 0 and 255
The range of Alpha values is from 0 to 100 (or from 0 to 1, anyway, it's decimal)!
I recommend you follow those standards.

2. The Alpha setting of the menu bar only affects the bar itself, not the background in the drop down menu. Both should either have the same alpha values OR be open to be treated separately.

3. The bar itself needs to have one consistent alpha value all over the entire width of the tour.

4. The control bar remains transparent even if the alpha value is set to 255 which is double wrong for known reasons.

So please listen and double check: For our work we need predictable and consistent results that follow common standards and not favors of any coders or other individuals. You are already giving us a hard time telling you what's going all wrong with the software that you created. Even worse, because we paid to find out. Now it's your turn to take care and finally do what should have been done since long.
