ptp 2.0/5
win 7 home
3 panos

I worked with the "descriptions" and had severals problems:

I placed 3 panos in one group and added a description (plus weblink). I configured the plugin and went back to description- but the text was gone - although is shown to be present in the tour-windows.

Next I marked one pano an added a description, saved and used intertal viewer. I could'nt see the text of the description.
Went back to check my settings and - crash.

Restart and the description text was gone, although I saved it before.

The Description is a kind of strange thing.. If you click on the Main Tour Window, you get one Description option pannel, however, if you click on any Pano in the Main Tour Window, a new Description panel will open where you can add text to THAT pano.. If you click back on any area of the Main Tour Window, the text for THAT last pano will be visibly gone, but its still there. As soon as you click back on THAT pano, the Description text will be back.. I am assuming this is what you are missing...

emm.. Yes, a mystery... =(

To be honest, I do not like the Description plugin option at all.. Its far too limited and has issues... The text options are so limited.. Have you considered creating a web page with all your needs, even add an small image, then link it to a Website Box.. You can have it appear on the side.. If you edit the xml, you can have rounded corners on just one edge.. The Website Box is a much more useful plugin than the Description.. You can edit your linked web text content any time, without even going back to your Tour.. I would really recommend you try that option.. You can add a Title too... and change the colours of the frame..

I just found an old test I made in Alpha17.. The Pink hotspot is the Website Box option to use as a Description.. Soooo many more options..

Ran into the same problems as zebragruen with Descriptions.

However, I think this is definitely a feature well worth having, especially if it's developed further (e.g. ability to add photos, etc.) - but it needs to be fixed.

An issue I've reproduced multiple times (Mac OSX 10.8.5) is this: when clicking on the <Remove formatting> button in the Description editor, PTP crashes immediately.

(On a positive note, I only started using PTP2b5 today and think it's great! Once out of beta this promises to be a fantastic upgrade. Well done to the guys at Kolor, and keep up the good work!)

Next release will solve a bug with quote ( ' ) into descriptions which broke the display.
