Upon updating to Beta 2 Panotour crashes for me everytime when I press the Build button IF I have changed the default color of a Point in the style menu (also with Beta 3).

This is obviously pretty restricting and annoying. My trademark is quickly becoming "default purple".

Anyone else having this problem? Possible suggestions?

I cannot replicate this problem with PTP 2.0 beta 3 on Windows 8.1 64-bit.

If you are working with a tour initially created using a version of PTP earlier than beta 1, then try removing then replacing all plugins.

I'm on vista 64-bit.
Tours created in any version do the same thing. Well I haven't tried rebuilding one in B3 yet. I'll give it a go and report back.

Ya. Tried rebuilding tour in B3. No extra plugins, changed default color of default point = crashy crash crash.

At least default purple is a nice purple. Any other suggestions out there?

As you can see - below - I didn't have the problem.

...........

What plugins are you using in your Workspace?

...........

Do you see the Crash Reporter when the program crashes?

Does it crash immediatety you click on Build or later?

Sometimes the crash reporter comes up, sometimes not, I've filled it out and submitted it several times.

I can get my screen to look like that too. No problems until i press "build" then the white (empty) build bar appears at the bottom of the screen, but just when the bar usually starts filling up with green and status reports, then it just crashes, maybe 1 second into the build.

Is it possible to check the TEMP directory because colorization is done into a temp folder ?
If it's full or try to change it before a new build.

Into Panotour go to Edit > Preferences > Performances tab.

OK. Hi again.

Upgraded to beta 4 today.
Changed TEMP folder to a new one.
Still crashes IF default colors are changed, same as before.
- crash report uploaded-

Thanks for the help so far everyone. Anyone have any other suggestions?
(panotour 64-bit b4, windows vista)

Was this a new tour or a tour created with an earlier beta?

Initially I just updated b3 to b4 and tried to create a new tour = crash if default color changed.

So I just uninstalled, re-installed, built new tour. Still CRASHville.

grrr.

Ok I've added a bug report for verification. Thanks again for your tests.

Update:

Uninstalled B4
Installed B5
Built tour with default colors - no problem
Saved
Closed
Re-opened Tour
Opened Style Tab
Clicked on "Default Point Spot Style 1" in left column
Clicked "custom color" box (did not change from the yellow that came up"
Clicked Build Tab
Saved
Clicked Build button
White progress bar pops up
1-2 seconds later program crashes without showing any progress in the bar.
