Hi,

My quick questions:

- how can I set the compass direction
- how can I set the map radar angle (in v1.8 I could drag it, but not here)
-how can I set the default view for the next panorama for the hotspot, please? In v 1.8 it showed the next pano view, now I can not see this setting

I'd appreciate an advice until we have the full user guide.

Thanks

Use the Compass button in the 3D editor panel of the panorama properties - see screenshot.

If using Panotour maps then all map layers have North at the top - and you will have set the direction of view foe each pano as per previous reply.

If you are using what was called a Map in PTP 1.8 but is now called a Floorplan in PTP 2 then you set the orientation of the Floorplan in the project (or Group) properties panel - see screenshot.

Hi Andrew,

many thanks for the quick reply. I will experiment with them.
Btw, I was referring to the compass of the Google map.

Best

The Compass tool on the Panotour maps (Google map layer) in PTP 1.8 related to orientating the views of each linked pano.

In PTP 2.x you now do that in the Pano propeeties panel for each pano.

AFAIK all map layers supported by PTP 2.x Panotour maps (Google, Bing and Openstree maps) are orientated with North at the top?

Yes, North is on top for each of our maps API.

The full answer is : in fact APIs have 1 or 2 values due to the kind of projection type. The "true north" and the "grid north". We use "grid north" which is on top vertical. "True north" can be a little different but it's not visible due to a very little variation.
