Daydream & Lenovo Mirage Solo VR Headset

by BrianLR » Mon Jul 30, 2018 8:40 pm

I have a Lenovo Mirage Solo VR Headset which is the first standalone all in one Daydream based headset and as such does not work with WebVR as do Daydream phone based headsets. if you go to chrome and go to a Virtual Tour and click on the VR button it works looks just like a 2D window with the left and right views, but does not fill the entire spherical field of view. As such one cannot view a Virtual Tour made with PanoTour Pro in VR with the Lenovo Mirage Solo.

Some 360 Media services like Veer VR, Viond and The Viewer have an app that works with the Lenovo Mirage Solo. Is there a way or are there any plans for PanoTour Pro to support the Lenovo Mirage Solo VR Headset and any future standalone all in one Daydream based headsets.

The good news is that Google have just released an updated version of Chrome for Daydream and I can now get 360VR working with my latest PTP Tour built with v 2.5.13 but it looks like I will have to rebuild all my earlier tours to get them to work with the Mirage Solo.
