"Undefined" in Menu Titles

by ChrisDavies » Sun Jul 01, 2018 11:07 am

Hi,

The software is brilliant and we are making so great tours, hosting on Amazon s3 and embedding with an iFrame into websites.

But, for some reason that we cannot figure out, the titles in all of our menus are now displaying "Undefined" instead of the title. Can anyone help us to understand our mistake?

Many thanks

Chris

The messages that should be displayed are in the file :
https://s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/barr ... ges_en.xml

This file can't be displayed in the browser. The browser downloads it instead of displaying it.
So I think that the issue comes from a bad setting on your Amazon s3 .

You should see if you are in "static web hosting" mode.

Thanks,

The bucket is set up to be a website and all the files have public access.

Here's the details for this file attached

Can you verify the content type of the different XML files of your project ?

Hi,

I've just looked and they are all "binary/octet-stream"

Interesting, when I use developer tools in Chrome and inspect the element, here's the result (attached).

It's like it is already written in the html and not just an Amazon error?

You should change them to "text/html" for the XML files.

What you see in the "Elements" tab is not the source of the HTML file, but the elements that are displayed.
Those elements are generated dynamically using the XML files and the Kolor scripts .

You can add your own metadata with specific MIME type with the Add Metadata entry.

We located the problem to uploading via browser. Not all files were being copied across correctly. We have resolved this issue by using CyberDuck, an application that uses FTP to upload into Amazon S3. We just have to go in afterwards and set all files to public.
