Using virtual tour in browser with latest updates

by charal3 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 7:42 am

Hello everyone,

We are doing virtual tour since many years now, but for now all I can see is blocking browser for VR.
So I wanted to know how you deal with that ?
Chrome blocked the gyroscope horizontaly and Firefox doesn't recognized VR anymore... so we are all feeling a little dizzy and having a hard time finding a solution on the long term.
I'm searching personnaly into mobile apps and specifically apps builder like Ionic, but it doesn't works always as we want it to (I'm at the beginning of my courses, but maybe you have already a solution to propose to me about this ?).

We are completly going to fail our compagny if we don't find a solution for VR, AR and MR on browser or mobile app, or maybe other solutions ?
I already find the post about Mozilla and all these technologies that are important for them, but no software in sight =(
https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2018/04/03/mozilla-brings-firefox-augmented-virtual-reality/

In hope that someone has a solution, or maybe just explain how your company works with VR and your clients ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards.

Chrome 65 introduced a bug in gyroscope management.
Panotour Pro 2.5.10 uses a workaround from krpano 1.19pr14 "to make this bug less buggy" .

Chrome 66 version will fix the issue.
It will be available in a few weeks, mid April .

Bur, this new Chrome 66 version will change other things in gyroscope management, that need a change in the krpano player .
Krpano 1.19.pr16 already contains those changes.
So a new Panotour Pro version, 2.5.11, will be available in a few days with this new krpano version.

Hello Gérald(bdd),

Thank you for your reply.
So you are telling me patience is the best options in this time of detress.
Well I can wait, but for my employers it'll be more difficult to convince :D same for our clients :s
No backup plan until the next release of Chrome and Panotour ?

Thanks in advance.
