Panotour "stuttering" on Macbook Pro Retina - not on MBAir

by hnfo » Thu Nov 10, 2016 6:11 pm

Presenting Panoramatours on Macbook Pro (13" Early 2015 3,1 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB) with Retina vs. Macbook Air (without Retina display): Although the Pro has a much more powerful processor, the display of panoramatours (made by panotour pro) with autorotate is not smooth at all. The Macbook Air is much better and totally smooth rendering the rotating 360° panorama. The same pano on iPad Pro 12" is totally smooth too.
Is this a special problem I have or does anybody else in this group have the same experience? One example here

http://pano.hnfo.de/thetent/

Or is it just a special hardware problem on my computer?

I have a same exact problem, on mbair it works great, on mbretina It stutters, I think its the resolution. Can we somehow limit the displaying resolution of a panorama to f.e 1920x1080?

I also have the same issue but only with MacBook Pro Retina on Safari. Seems to be ok on FireFox and Chrome (though Chrome rotates slower for some reason).

Has anybody found a solution for this without sacrificing image quality?

It is already a bug registered on our side. We suspect it is a krpano bug but we unfortunately have had no confirmation yet.
