Adding Web Content TO the Pano

by 360degrees » Wed Sep 28, 2016 7:58 pm

I want to create a hotspot that can be clicked on and web content (a page) opens up WITHIN the pano itself, not a new page. How can this be achieved?

Thank You!

Hi... In the Tour Tab you have an option to Draw a Web Content area.. Must be drawn from top right clockwise.. You draw that area to cover you web content.. Its a very nice feature.. Any content changes are automatically updated within your Tour... You will find that option in the Spots Editor menu..

Hi Destiny. Yea, got that - the issue is I want to link it to a hotspot and cannot figure that out. In other words, click the hotspot and the page (within the tour) opens.

In fact, it's telling me it cannot be done unless it's linked to a spot. :)

You can add a Website Box using a button or a hotspot to open it and you can make the link pano pasific. You can remove all the boarders so only page appears to open. With this option, it will open a Window over the pano. With the other option it will draw a polygon website over the pano.. and move with it.. To use the Website Box option you will need to add the Web Box plugin from the right plugins..

It should work like this.. You can change the size and colour of the box and heaps more.. You can activate the Website Box using a button too..

Sorry to sound ridiculous, but I cannot figure it out. Do you have a step by step for me perhaps? Sorry to drive you nutty!

Thanks so much.

For example, I bring the website box in to my work space but really have no clue how to get it to run properly. I don't see a box to add a url for the box. I DO see where it can be opened (for example, middle of the screen). But I have no clue how to get the page I want to open within the tour programmed in nor can I figure out how to attach it to a hotspot. :(

Well, sorry I have not made a How To Do adding Website Box.. If you cannot work it out I will create one..

The Website Box is just the plugins.. You can set all the parameters such as size, location on where it opens, corners, close, full screen boarders etc..

Once you have added your Website Box and set it up.. You now to need to link it to a Button or Hotspot. So, goto the default hotspot - you can change the colour or even the hotspot itself but for now, keep as is, You will see a GUI where you can assign the Website Box, it will be the last one on the list.. Once you link your Hotspot to your Website Box, you can then add a URL.. Then you go to the Tour tab and add THAT hotspot to the pano you want it added to.. On the right, tick the shaded out boxes for Title and URL.. You can use that same Hotspot for different URLs.. Same Website Box.. You do not have to add heaps unless you want a new look Website Box...

See how you go with that..

I get adding the box and sizing it, etc. What I don't understand is where to enter the info (url) for the site content that will be in the website box. I cannot find an area for this. Ideas?

You set it with the action to open the website box, for either a simple button (if it's going to be on your interface) or a hotspot style.
If you choose a hotspot, you need to set the URL in the spots properties after placing the spot, not the spot style.
