Start of Tour Specific

by 360degrees » Wed Sep 28, 2016 7:57 pm

So I want to begin my tour with the camera tilted up and pan down and right. I am not using a 360x180. A. Is this possible and B. If yes, can you please give me a step by step on how to do so?

Thank You!

It's possible using the "Call actions on events"-plugin and the "Call custom (or KRPano) code"-action available here: http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/view/Panotour_-_Advanced_-_Extra_Plugins.

First you need to get the coordinates (and zoom factor, if desired) of the target view of your partial pano, this can be done as follows: In the pano preview window, set the desired view (looking to the right) and note the resulting HFOV, Roll and Pitch values. Set the default view of your pano to the starting position (looking up).

Then, in the "Call actions on tour events" plugin put the following code to the "KRpano code to call" action assigned to the "Tourstart, after introduction effects"-event, replacing the "4.050000, 21.400000, 80.000000" values with the numbers you found:
Code: Select all
delayedcall(0.5, lookto(4.050000, 21.400000, 80.000000,linear(100)););

You can play with the settings of this example:
0.5 seconds delay or waittime before the movement
100 sets the speed of the movement in degrees/second

Edited to include zoom-factor and simplified procedure

I had downloaded the plugin and installed (followed the directions) and cannot find it on my style menu. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Of course. Should I be looking for it in a place other than my style page? Or perhaps it's called something different on it? Dunno, been looking super closely over and over again.

In the style tab, in the plugins library there should be a new category called Advanced (so at the very top) and in it you'll find the plugin.

If it isn't there, and that you restarted PTP, you didn't install the plugin correctly. Can you show us a screenshot of your user directory in the plugins folder?

Here are my screenshots asked for after restart. The file named "plugins" contains the event action plugin.

One level too far. Instead of merging the plugins folder of the downloaded plugin with your plug in folder, you put the plugin folder in the plugins folder so it's not findable by PTP since you created a sort of... pluginsception.

Instead of a folder called plugins in your plugins folder it should be what is inside of that folder!

Okay fixed the plugins folder. Great.

Now, how do I find the coordinates? So I want to change them to react to the auto panning maneuver I'm trying to accomplish. Is there a tutorial for this? :)

Thank you!

Have you tried using the GArrows plugin? It includes a feature the creator called GLinks which allows you to activate very precise deep-linking directly in the URL.

You know, I've been wondering how to get this sort of plugin in my tour. So basically, I'd have to take more panos in order to ensure I create a "walking path"?

In terms of an opening pan to my tour (think pointed to sky, slowly pan to normal coordinates), is there a step by step? At his point, I don't understand how to code it in. I don't get what krpano is or where to find it. I downloaded some plugins from the plugin page that had the term "krpano" in it, but they haven't showed up on my style page after restart.

Forgive, always learning new stuff on PTP so bare with me.

Thank you!

Re: Start of Tour Specific

I was able to locate the "Call actions on tour events" plugin. From there, it got murky for me. I opened up "React to when the tour starts" and from there, cannot find the "KRpano code to call" action assigned to the "Tourstart, after introduction effects". I know it would be under a plugin there, but nothing.

Ideas? Again. :)

Did you install the call krpano code action in the actions folder? http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ee_Actions

Yep. And it will not show up on my style board. In fact, I've done it about 4 times by now. Ans restarted PTP every time. I've opened the "user directory" and dragged them in to "plugins". Sound about right?

Nope, an action goes in the Actions folder, which is why it's in the Actions category on the page which says to drag it into "Actions'. ;-)

Sometimes, the most obvious of things can be so unobvious to those of us trying waaaay too hard. :)

I moved to "actions". Nothing.

Show me a screenshot of your actions folder.

It should look like this:

Look up, it's in the actions folder. This is what it looks like on my end. Do you use a MAC?

The other folders haven't been working either so I was playing around and seeing if perhaps they were actions - so I threw them in the actions folder.

Perhaps I'm not accessing things properly? That said, it's how I've been operating (dragging downloaded plugins/actions in to the plugins/actions folders from my desktop after download) - and as you know, some have worked, some not so much. :)

In the actions folder, after installing just the call krpano code, there shouldn't be any other folders. There should be two files, an xml file and a tmpl file, like in my screenshot. No folders.

I use Windows the but the filepath and organisation for installing any extra content (plugins, actions, transitions etc) into PTP is exactly the same between the two systems.

So, should I remove the xml file and the tmpl files from what was downloaded? Looks like there is 17 items in the krpano folder.

Did you see just the krpano code and where/how do I install that prior to putting the 2 folders in to actions?

I can't make this any simpler.

I don't see the files for the action in your screenshot, I don't even see the downloaded folder with the action in it in your screenshot.
