Panotour API

by mattob » Fri Jul 01, 2016 6:52 pm

Hi Panotour Team,

Do you have any API access for Panotour to call certain functions of the program directly from our utility. Can you provide us with documentation for the API. We are looking to develop a custom utility to work with panotour and ability to call functions to jump to points / hotspots in the tour etc for our internal use and looking for any help and access to the API / documentation.

Any help or information you have to help us with our project would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys! =D

Matt

Hi Matt,

First you should have a look to the HTML template samples provided here :
http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... e_Expander

In their code you'll see how to call internal actions, like for example :
Code: Select all
                     getTourPlayer().call('stopautotour()');

                     getTourPlayer().call('mainloadscene('+targetID+')');

We do not have any documentation on the actions we wrote over krpano player.
But the main actions can be found in the different plugins description files (plug_info.xml ). Click on "Edit/Open templates folder" to find those files.

You can also call directly some krpano actions, but for some of them, a direct call will lead to a tour inconsistency, as our own action over them do some extra code to prevent failures or to save some states.
Her is krpano API documentation :
http://krpano.com/docu/actions/#top

While krpano actions are always available, Kolor's action are generated only when necessary. So you may have to create a PTP plugin that will force their creation, like we did for some HTML templates with the plugin "Bootstrap_External_Commands" .

Thank you so much Gérald!

We will review, but this looks like it will be very helpful for our project!
