Resizing Buttons for Smartphones

by andy4nothin » Fri May 08, 2015 8:15 pm

Sorry! I know this subject has been covered elsewhere, but I just can't arrive at a solution to retrospectively edit the xml files in order to create larger buttons suitable for mobiles.

I've read the krpano instructions for 'crop', but the actual behaviour after playing with the settings is still a mystery to me!

I wish the buttons displayed at the size in the Chrome smartphone emulator!

I'm using the iControl set and on a Samsung Note 3 the buttons and 3d map icon are barely visible. http://uktripper.com/visits/severn-valley-railway-bewdley-station/
Any suggestions to overcome this issue?

What's the ETA on beta's for PTP 2.4?

The stagescale is different on mobile device so button sizes are differents.
PTP 2.4 will host a solution for this kind of responsive design. Will be available "soon".

Have you looked at the HTML5 viewer using Chrome in one of the mobile/tablet emulation modes? For some reason the buttons appear at a useable size!

My workaround has been to include some external buttons appearing below the pano in portrait orientation and to the left in landscape. This has the benefit of providing an area of the page that you can use for scrolling, otherwise if the pano fills the screen you're trapped with just panning the pano!

Why don't the zoom in/out functions work with the HTML5 viewer?

Do your panos have a full 360x180 field of view?

Yes. I always create full spherical panoramas.
