Slow loading and bad drag !!

by Eddie » Mon Sep 01, 2014 6:35 pm

Hello there! I make a project with only 4 panoramic and loading is slow, what is the problem? Again .. the load is slow! It begins with a black screen and takes several seconds to load. Another thing, dragging the mouse is not smooth and soft, has some small jumps! It is essential for me to solve these two problems! I hope the responses of Kolor team!

Thank you!

Are you generating multi-res. tours?

Are you creating both Flash and HTML5 tours?

Which browser are you using to view the tour and on which OS?

Are you viewing from local disk or from a remote server?

Why no multi-res.?

What real world bandwidth does your net connection provide?

What plugins are you using in the tour?

Does the performance change if you force the tour to HTML5 rather than Flash?

Bad idea.
Keep the multi resolution if you want a quick load.
But avoid Little planet effect.

Eddie wrote:Are you creating Both Flash and HTML5 tours?
Yes

If you are using some HTML5 plugins, avoid flash, to have a smooth navigation.

Why not multi-res.?
Sorry, I'm new to the program and had not realized he had generated with multi resolution. Then I used multiresolution yes! But the image resolution is not high! Equirectangular: 5340x2670

What does your real-world bandwidth Provide net connection?
1,88Mbps

What plugins are you using in the tour?
gallery photos, floor plan, web video box, website box, menu, sound, description, spot video control bar.

Does the performance change if you force the tour to HTML5 rather than Flash?
Yes, I added (?Html5=only) and load is fast, dragging the mouse slower, not very fuid ..

A pre black images appear before charging is complete, it can be removed?

Gérald! Sorry, but what are the plugins made in html5?

Now I'm having another problem .. I can not open the project! from bad to worse! I sent the report file to support@autopano.net

Hi Eddie,
mp3 of 8,76 MB is very heavy for a Virtual tour, i suggest that try to you de-active preload of this song. You can find this feature in the file call xxx-skin.xml

maybe it can help you, in the skin.xml file, try to find something like that :

<action name="preloadSounds">
preloadsound("name_of_your_8,76Mo_music.mp3");
preloadsound("name_of_your_774Ko_music.mp3");
</action>

so turn it like that :
<action name="preloadSounds">
preloadsound("name_of_your_774Ko_music.mp3");
</action>

you can use any xml editor to do that ( if you are on mac, i suggest Text wrangler :
http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/download.html , i think it's available on PC too.

Which jpg-setting do you use? I suggest to not use more than 7. Definitely use multires!

Please send me the .kpt file on private message for tests.
What happens if you remove the YOURPROJECT.cache file next to the kpt file ?
