Hello there,

In ptp2.0 the social share button is all working, twitter, FB, linkedin etc.. When shared on facebook the logo comes up on the post and the link works correctly however in the text information all that comes up is

<meta charset=

Any clues, will this be changed at any-point? In the previous versions of 2.0 I had thought that twitter and G+ shared with the information.

Thanks

Look after this tool https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ into your Facebook developer account if you have it to see what facebook script see.

Perhaps the HTML template has some issues.

Do you have a link ?

You can also have a look on this documentation :

Thanks Benj

A link to the project

http://www.flyingscotscam.com/ABCO/index.html

I will have a look through your links and see if I can understand anything. Previously I was uploading the panorama- then download the html file and edit it but just to put in the analytics code and change the titles etc...

Cheers

:) Benjamin, thanks

You will have to excuse my ignorance, I don't really understand code at all- at least not in identifying the problem lines.

I have not edited the html file in this project, it it just what came out of ptp. Do I just need to delete a line or put in a space or something along those lines?

What is it that you see is wrong?

*** Looking at the text which is highlighted there are words from the description of the project- all split up into key words- then the <meta chartset at the end. Again, is it just the a case of something in the wrong place, it the bit I really cant tell.

Thanks,
Mike

Remove this meta tag from your html page or replace it by a
Code:
 <meta name="description" content="TOUR_DESCRIPTION_HERE"></meta>

Is it possible to have a screenshot of your project description (description area of the project into Panotour) ?

After verification it's the Description text which is this one into your _messages_en.xml file.
So it's seems that it's a copy/paste of a document and not fully compatible with Panotour.

<meta charset="utf-8"><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 20px; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; display: inline !important; float: none; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); "><b>Long Sea Outfall project, Bridlington; Aerial photos of the 2m diameter pipe being sunk down into the excavated sea trench on the South Beach</b></span>

Solution 1 :
Select Verdana font + "B" and paste this text : Long Sea Outfall project, Bridlington; Aerial photos of the 2m diameter pipe being sunk down into the excavated sea trench on the South Beach

Solution 2 :
Update code into _messages_en.xml file and remove <meta charset="utf-8">
