Try to place Picture-Spot on a planar projected image

by HarryA360 » Wed Jul 02, 2014 8:05 pm

I’m not for sure, but is it not possible to place a Picture-Spot on a planar projection?
I’ve search the forum, but can’t find a solution or answer.

Gr, Harry

Hi, maybe I explain myself not clearly.

I have a project with some images in planar projection. I want to use some Picture-Spot's.
Picture-Spot's on a spherical image is working fine. Same Picture-Spot on a planar image, isn't working.

Someone out there who can give it a try to reproduce this?

Suggestions or ideas are welcome.

Thanks in advice,

Harry.

Could your planar images instead be rendered as cropped spherical projections?

Hi mediavets,

Unfortunately, that is not possible.
I show images of church glasses in portrait-mode 5055 x 11588.

Ha

I've just made a simple experiment and the picture hotspot seems to be working on planar images.

But you think it doesn't?

hi Andrew,

Thanks for your effort to try to reproduce. Step by step I do the same as you showing.
When I use Spherical projection everything is working well. Till now, I can't get a picture-spot to work an en flat surface. Maybe my images are to big.
I go further to try and will find a solution ;)
Thanks,
Harry

What are the pixel dimensions of your images?

The stained glass image is 8653 x 19927 (PSB format), the picture hotspot image is 2306x2050.
I will try a smaller image to see if that will work (shame I didn't try before).
