Website developed as a Virtual Tour

by TRI60 » Thu Jun 12, 2014 10:18 am

When you want to sell Panorama's and Virtual Tour you have to demonstrate that at your website.
I build my website now as a Virtual Tour instead of using Joomla.
Look at my site: www.tri60.nl (Sorry it is in Dutch).
And it is not finished yet.
Any comment is welcome.

Part of the reason flash based websites went by the wayside was because they could not be indexed by search engines. Unless you link to external separate files you wont be able to analyze any of your web site traffic.

Thanks dvande,
I was forgetting this. I shall see what I can do with the search engines.

Hello. I like what you did and I too agree that with PTP 2.0 features this is a great idea. What I would recommend is that you use Joomla or Wordpress in addition to the pano. If you name your panos index.php then you can also bring in Joomla plugins and database content. If you can build a joomla theme then you can certainly bring in crawlable and viewable data from your cms database. I did this with wordpress and all i needed to bring in was a file called wp-load.php and I was able to use php loops to bring in whatever I wanted, including plugins, post data and meta content! One day 360 degree websites will be wought after as they are an extremely effective way of showing concepts and ideas. 360 programmers need to learn to incorporate crawl-able content into their templates.
Good luck!
