Splash Screen Help

by Katerina » Thu Feb 27, 2014 3:51 am

Hi, can someone please explain me how the splash screen in PTP works. One of the common uses of the splash screen is with large application like games, programs or large websites which need significant time to load. It normally stays on until the side is fully loaded. Is it the case of the splash screen in PTP? From the setting I'm assuming that the purpose of the splash screen is either esthetic (logo or some nice graphic) or informative ( introduction to the tour or instructions). So far I don't have any big tours where I can see delay in loading times. When is the splash screen showing? Does the tour need to be loaded first or it shows immediately after opening. Thank you, Katerina

Splashscreen can be displayed until click and can have a delay in seconds.
But with a little bandwith the tour can be not fully loaded in background because splashscreen is not linked to preload.

I placed a splash screen. Now it is shown in the Tour befor loading the panos.
But now, I want no splas screen be shown at all. There is no "delete" button to remove the linked file...?!

Just select and delete the filename.

ok, just easy :-)
but the image file is still stored in the tourdata folder.. :-(
This has to be removed manually, even after rebuilding the tour
