Hi,

I'm using the snow effect in a virtual tour that has 5 panoramas. One of them is an interior space which means I don't want the effect there. How can I have the snow effect only in 4 out of 5 panoramas in the same virtual tour?

Thank you
Thomas

Well... Yes.!. Its mystery as to how it could actually snow indoors... it can rain too... :rolleyes:

Sorry to say, not possible via the GUI... You will need to hand code it..

Hi.. Ok, that's doable.. =D

http://www.destinyvirtualtours.com/PTPV ... /Snow.html

Its an easy fix but you need to edit your #skin.xml code by removing the show plugin and in your #.xml you need past it in like this.. Set the keep to false..

That should work for you..

Destiny..

<preview url="%FIRSTXML%/grey_10/preview.jpg" type="CUBESTRIP" striporder="FRBLUD"/>

<!-- **** -->
<!-- Snow -->
<!-- **** -->
<plugin name="snowDestiny"
url="%FIRSTXML%/graphics/snow.swf"
alturl="%FIRSTXML%/graphics/snow.js"
keep="false"
zorder="3"
wind="5.0"
/>

<!-- **** -->

<image type="CUBE" multires="true" baseindex="0" tilesize="512">
<level tiledimagewidth="512" tiledimageheight="512">
<front url="grey_10/0/0/%v_%u.jpg"/>
<right url="grey_10/1/0/%v_%u.jpg"/>
<back url="grey_10/2/0/%v_%u.jpg"/>
<left url="grey_10/3/0/%v_%u.jpg"/>
<up url="grey_10/4/0/%v_%u.jpg"/>
<down url="grey_10/5/0/%v_%u.jpg"/>
</level>
</image>

Thats ok.. =D

...but I find the snow effect a bit limited.. When I view it on my Samsung Note, its not great at all... Infact it almost stops... This test here uses JS to drive the snow... It works beautifully on my Samsung Note... Its is even dymanic, you can move it a bit if you move your mouse over it... I tried to get it to work within a Tour but no luck yet.. The best I can do is to place it into a window... Might be a good outside intro.. but not a VR pano... =(

It's very impressive!!! Especially that you can move when you move the mouse! :)

On the ipad the snow effect works fine.
