Hi,

is it possible to start with a picture with hotspot instead of a panorama?

Thx Adriaan.

Hi.. Well .... unfortunately, the splash screen does not have the option to add a hotspot so perhaps a feature request is needed for that.. I have often thought that this would be a nice feature..

Not much else really but perhaps you might consider the Planer projection as an image where you can add a hotspot, however, best not to use the auto rotation when using that unless you like the image to go back and forth.. emm.. doing it this way would also mean that it was part of the Tour.. So perhaps not a good option..

Perhaps consider an intro.html page with an image and a hotpot button url to open the Tour.. That would probably be the best option and it would look good too, and take no time in doing it..

If you want a hotspot on the first image, then you can use this image as a standard panorama and set its projection as planar.

eem.. There you go, as long as the images is smaller than the browser window the image will not go back and forth, when you can use an image set to planer.. However, the Auto Rotate won't work.. I added small intro image, added 2 panos, set the Tour to Auto Rotate, added hotspot to goto the first Pano which works but no auto rotate.. I then set the Tour to Auto Tour, but same thing, it will not auto Tour and the controls will not work at all..

You can use a panorama and a splashscreen. Set autorotation to "off" (this way you have a "picture") or to "wait" some seconds and use the splashscreen as a hotspot.
You also can use a hotspot instead.

I did it here:

I understand that there always are alternative ways to solve a problem, you know.

Yes, and I could post up instructions on how to peal a banana but that would not really meet the needs of the question would it..

You´re shure to having understood what i suggested? It´s a very good way to achieve exactly what "the member" asked for.
And he not even needs to use an extra picture - he can make the fist pano act like a still-picture.

I nowhere wrote that this is the ONLY way, remenber? So calm down please . . . . and stop acting foolish by telling me what i may write or not.

Yep it's with many informations and demos that the better way to do something will be found.
So workaround methods are "friends".
