Where is boxurl in final code

by jschrader » Tue Dec 24, 2013 5:36 am

Does anyone know where I can access the url to display the text in a website box in the final code?

Happy Christmas :)

Sure.
To display text in a panorama I use a website box.
The website box needs an html with the text.
In PTP you specify the URL to the html.
So far ok?
My problem is it all worked fine locally but not from my S3 server.

I wanted to try absolute URKs to see if that helps.

I need to do it manually in the final code but can't find the place where those urls are stored.

emm.. Firstly, try to provide the full url of the website box content html file, not just the suffix of it, meaning the file name, index.html etc..

The URL is like ../name.html as benji told me.

But on my S3 I get something like a rights error and wanted to try the absolute URL.
But I have to do it in the code not in PTP because I made many changes.

So please, if you can answer my question, this is what would help.

Hi..

The url to the site you have linked to, you will find in the ###_messages_en.xml file... I am guessing this is what you are looking for... Still not really sure what you are trying to do.. But I might be having a blond day... ;)

I had been looking there already but it seemed to be not there.

Again: I have 35 panoramas, in each is a hotspot that opens a websitebox that shows a text. Each text comes from a unique html. I need to find the URLs of these htmls in the code of my tour to alter them.

eem... Sorry, I will create a demo test and just check that one out..

Let you know... Sometimes I get confused with the new xml code...

You know, you can just do a search of that url... Just select the Tour folder and search that...

I searched all XMLs without luck before I dared to bother anybody with that.
Maybe it's somewhere else. With Kolor one never knows ^^

URL's are in the xxx_messages_en.xml file.
This file contain's all translatable messages of the tour. URLs can sometimes be translated, that's why they are in this specific XML file.

Thank you, Gerald so I must have missed something while I was looking there.
Will see as soon as I'm back home.

Happy Christmas to you and the rest of the Kolor gang.

Finally! It's all there.
Sorry, must have been too early for me this morning, I really should have seen these while searching for them.

Yieehaaa! I managed to edit the tour to my needs and we are almost there now.

I have small issue with the panorama menu now, but will open a new thread.

EDIT:
30 minutes later this issue also is solved.
Problem was that the panorama menu wouldn't appear until the browser window was resized.

Strangely enough, but then I found that the tiles for one panorama were missing and with them the thumbnail for the menu. As soon as everything was in place also the menu appeared on tour load.

So finally I can really relax and have a shower after a long working day to prepare for another working day tomorrow :-)

Cheers
Jürgen
