pano to mp4 or avi

by Chromo56 » Wed Nov 20, 2013 3:43 pm

I wonder if it is possible to convert a single tour or an autotour to an .avi or .mp4 file. No controls needed. Just autoturn slowly.
In a presentation (Powerpoint) I like to combine photo's and single tours. The idea is that the presentation runs by itself on a big screen.
Quicktime movies don't work.

thanks

René

Why does it have to be in a Powerpoint presentation?

Why does it have to be in a movie format?

The Powerpoint presentation runs 24/7 on an internal tv system. It shows the logo's and adds of the sponsors. The request is to add an tour after every 8 to 10 images. Just a singel tour in autorotation mode. After a few rotations the slide show picks up again.
I do not know why a package in html does not work.
My understanding of Powerpoint is very limited.
The request I recieved was if I could deliver several tours as mp4 movies.

Have a look at: demo.kempesfotografie.nl/hercules

Maybe they can use something like this to integrate your PT/PTP 1.8 Flash files?

If it wasn't a requirement to 'embed' in Powerpoint I might have suggested this:

In my opinion if the client wants video is it easiest to shoot video. Converting virtual tours to video is far from easy and the results are seldom very good.

Hi,

I have used Photos to Movie as demonstrated in the tutorial by Hans Nyberg of Panoramas.dk
I find it works well and produces a video in various output formats which could be embedded in a Powerpoint.
(Note: this only works on Mac.... but the video can be played anywhere.)
A tutorial can be seen here: http://youtu.be/j1qRsySlIg4

Thanks for the options. I tried all of them without the result I needed.
But in my search I came across this software: Pano2movie 2.2 (www.pano2movie.com)
It does the job rendering the tour into a continues movie or even separate jpg's. In the next step it is easy to convert the .mov into .avi, .mp4 or other.
Problem solved. But take your time. Rendering the movies may take many, many hours.
