Mobile map orientation

by dman3d » Fri Jun 09, 2017 3:09 pm

I am having an issue where if I include a map and a mobile user re-orients their device from vertical to horizontal the map is clipped off in the maps space. Currently "The floor plans are resized into area container" is checked on and the display area width and height are set to percent.

I am assuming there is no auto-resizing occurring.

Is there a way to make this work or simply not available?

Thanks,
-d

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Do you have an online link I can test?

If I understand correctly you have the map open then change the phone orientation and the map doesn't resize even though the floorplan container has?
I'm not certain the HTML5 plugin can refresh for the orientation of the device. If you refresh the page keeping the orientation, does the floorplanappear correctly? Or if you change the device orientation before opening the floorplan?

Refreshing did not appear to work and we have played with changing the orientation in various way on the devices

What are your settings for your floorplan?
Have you considered creating a second interface for mobiles with a bigger floorplan, perhaps even full screen? As it is, even in protrait where it works 'correctly' it is tiny and difficult to use.

I did not realize this was possible still a novice with the software, will start researching thanks

Is there a function for making more than one floor plan? Or do you mean publishing two different tours?

Duh, checking the link you gave above

Another issue is the page does not seem to resize correctly when changing the orientation of the phone, Iphone in this case.

When loaded portrait its full screen, tilt to landscape its full screen, tilt back to portrait its half screen. The page is not resizing to full screen

This seems to be isolated to Chrome. Safari works as expected.

If you use "request desktop site" in chrome the portrait->landscape->portrait issue goes away

Anyone have any input here?

What are your new floorplan's settings?
What is your device version, OS version and browser version?

This is updated with the larger floor plan, which is not really the problem at this time. The title of the thread should be more like "Issues with Chrome not rescaling pano page to full screen when going from portrait to landscape to portrait on iPhone iOS"
http://360pano.ml3ds.com/

The non-refresh when going back to portrait mode in Chrome in iOS iPhone seems unrelated to the floor plan, rather its not refreshing when you go back. Though as before the "show desktop version" option corrects it. It appears specific to the mobile deployment.

It works correctly in safari, whatever version it is with iOS 10.3.2

Device model/type
iPhone 7 plus

iOS
iOS 10.3.2

Chrome version
Chrome 59.0.3071.102

Panotour
Panotour pro 2.5.7 64bit

Floor plan
Offset
left (bottom left cause clipping around the perimeter)
10x10px

Display
60 percent x 60 percent
Border rad 10
Border size 15

Animation
Use animation to display floor plan
Position left

Other options turned on
Single floor plan
display radar
Interact with floor plan events

Thanks

Have you been able to test under the conditions above?
