Search engine indexing of virtual tours.

by Supreme » Tue Jun 03, 2014 7:30 am

Hey everyone.

I'm planning on putting my website live in the next couple of days.
But have a question with regards to search engines indexing my virtual tours.

I plan to use iframes to display the tours.
Now when for example Google indexes my site, will it index the page with the iframe on,
as well as the actual page containing the virtual tour that the iframe points to?

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I couldn't find the answer.

Thanks.

Hey there, sorry that your question has not been answered.

This actually depends on the way you setup your website. You can tell the search engine bots what to index and what not to. This is done via your head tags. for example take a look at this post http://perishablepress.com/tell-google-to-not-index-certain-parts-of-your-page/
