Lytro: depth of field panoramic

This maybe radical, but I want to begin the conversation.

Anyone have any experience with the Lytro camera? what are the files like?
I have a dream of panoramic vr tour utilizing this technology.

I'm wandering about this:
Autopano + Lytro = 3d panorama (not possible with 3d photos made by two cameras but with one photo with information about field depth it could be theoretically possible !!!)

It could take panoramas to new level of experience :)

Lytro could export sharp jpgs which could give us a autopano project files, we need tool that could modify lytro photos into panorama (by using autopano project like livepano does with videos) (maby by merging every level of field depth, that could be possible practically?).

Exactly... I can only dream and theorize at the moment. So I wanted to get the ball rolling with this community.

resolutions with 2MP or with new one than 5MP is still less interesting.
FOV is really small compared with Action cam fovs.... so in consequence you Need many Images...
and most interesting and unclear for me is the case you do Focus on one Point of one single Image. this part gets focused... what happens with the same focal layer Level of the other imges... they remain unfocused, because apg cant handle this Kind of Information currently...

so if you Focus one Point in one Image, apg in consequence must be able to handle to Focus the other Images to same Point.
apg also must be able to find CPs on multiple different (predefined?) Focus Points/Levels/Areas between the neigbor Images.
intresting Task... but I believe also a very challangeing Task ;-))
