multimedia terminal

by aircamera » Mon Mar 31, 2014 12:32 pm

Hi !
I'm wondering what's the price for a big multimedia terminal (>32") to display a virtual tour in a expo hall.
Did some of you already buy such material ? Where ? How much ?
Is it cheaper to do it myself with a PC and a big touchscreen ?
I would appreciate your experiences !
Thank you very much. ;)

We rented a very big (ane very heavy) plasma-screen a year ago and connected it to a MacMini which the visitor could control using a trackball
we integrated into the desk.

You also can use a projector or a big LED-TV. Relevant is the device to feed the content. A MacMini i mean is ideal: extremely small, very fast, very comfortable to handle. Trackballs are cheap.

A MacMini´s price you can find in the store and also the price of the trackball and TV or monitors.

You also can use one of the new 40 - 55" monitors - but your content needs to be quite hires to make it attractive.

See it here (smaller version of the screen) - left from the entrance: http://www.360impressions.de/ClassicRemise

best, Klaus
