swf player 7

by Destiny » Fri Feb 25, 2011 11:25 pm

I need a tech'o question answered here.. I need to try to embed my pano into an plugin in Flash. I am sure it will work as player 7 but it definitely will not as swf 10... Since I cannot go back to basics with the fla and publish in a player of my choice using Flash CS5, I was wondering.... does anyone know how I can change the player parameters of the swf created in ptp to player 7...

hmm I dont know exactly but I assume that there's no way to achieve this.
on krpano forum there were a voting last june to drop compatibility of flash9 and only supprt flash10, because onyl 3-4% were Flash9 only . So I expect that the krpano is not compatible to flash 7 anymore...

oh Pooooooooo! :( To be honest, I do not like player 7, 8 was a much better player.. it supported so many more features.. Unfortunately some plugins to Flash only support older payers for the features they provide.. Sometimes a new player does not mean a better player, since they drop features of a player considered out of date.. I long for the day kolor allows for the creation of a full working fla file...

It's not going to happen. The SWF you talk about is the krpano Flash Panorama Viewer which does not belong to Kolor - and if that was made available as a FLA then Klaus R. would no longer have a marketable product would he?

The same goes for the Pano2VR Flash panorama player and the Flash Panorama Player.

What PTP creates is the XML control code (and image files in a suitable form) for the krpano Flash Panorama Viewer.

Some earlier Flash-Player versions were very bad - the quality of panos sometimes was terrible because of the player produced jagged or wavy diagonal lines. That was a well known issue - and not the only one. You could see it even in some of KRPano´s demos panoramas.
Definitely better use 10.x.x

best, Klaus
