This will mean ... Kolor software soon will be banned by Donald Trump as illegal fake software

No, not really. Just kidding.

Some time ago, when there were rumours that Kolor would be a part of Gopro, i really thought "hey, great, chances, chances, chances for faster and better product releases, more manpower in the development department". But what really happened has been ... nearly nothing. Product releases have been slowed painfully, and new features ... zero.

Autopano and Panotour still give me the best workflow, in some niche areas other products are good and excellent helpers, as ptgui for stitching and pano2vr for streetview.

I am hoping that if the Xiaomi rumours will be true, my old beloved autopano and panotour will have faster, more, feature rich product cycles. But my fears go the other direction.

greetings from germany
Chris

Absolutely nothing. This is just an announcement!

Is the software perfect? No.
Have all bugs been fixed? No.
When was the last release? More than one year ago, and even that was a very minor fix.
In the opinion of almost everybody that is the definition of "dead".
Sorry, that is how almost everybody would see it, and I cannot see why anybody would purchase a new copy if they discover those facts.

They haven't even updated the video software to run on High Sierra on Mac yet. I'm sitting here unable to update my computers because they refuse to update their software. It's unacceptable. Especially after making me pay to upgrade to AutoPano 3.
