Little planet generator ?

Hi.

Generating LPlanets is possible from a pano using Photoshop or some other tools.
With the square re-sising and polar coordinate filter, the results are quite different from the one generated by APT as intro. The vertical are bended and it gives a poor result in comparaison with the the nice and straight planets made by APT.

Is there any future for a LP dedicated tool in APG in order to generate big and High def files ?

Does any one have a solution to generate APT like LP ?

Kenavo.

Hi,
Little Planets generated by KrPano (then by Kolor PanoTour) used a stereographic projection which is different than squared / polar filter under PhotoShop.

From your equirectangular 360°x180°, you can try with Panini application
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pvqt/
which is no more compatible with my Graphic card.

Or try with Hugin
http://hugin.sourceforge.net/
using stereographic projection with pitch 90°.

Good luck.

Using the "polar coordinates" filter in PS for that purpose you need to mirror the image and change the aspect ratio to 1:1 first - then use the filter. That works fine.

All these extra projection are planned in autopano v3 ( pannini style, stereographic, and many more ).+

So anxious to see it Alexandre. I have upgraded to 2.x a really long time ago, but truly have not rendered a single pano for over a year...
