Color correction best workflow order

Hi

Have been doing some experiments with video from APV and color correction

My current order is Auto color match cameras in APV Export rendered and stitched video
Try and correct in AE
Its taking a very large amount of computer time to render out of AE
Should say not getting quite the look Im after with the color straight out of APV Maybe Im fussy !

Just wondering Would a better workflow be:
Color correct gopro videos first in a program ( Please add suggestions thinking AE )
Render individual camera corrected videos
Then ingest into APV and stitch

Its a bit like putting stills into LR before HDR stitching
Would this work better ? Is it a bad idea ?

Thanks for any thoughts Lloyd

Might just add a bit more so question is in context

Have some outside moving vision that had a slightly dark area in one camera

The new features of APV have enabled fixing of the issue very well with auto color correction

So using auto color has been important

However it also desaturated the original vision which is why its going through AE

Thanks Lloyd
