360 preview with AVP 1.6.1

by Joergen Geerds » Fri Jul 18, 2014 1:05 pm

AVP 1.6.1 introduced a new playback method, attempting to show the project in real time. this leads to heavy frame dropping (based on your hardware), and I can't see the all important 'every frame' anymore, which was critical to see frame sync problems.
In addition, the play button has become a random button: clicking it may or may not work (right away), playing a project will play a couple of hundred frames, then stop and go back to the previous starting point (like the preview button in the sync menu).
I very much preferred the playback function of 1.6.0, and I am not sure if this is a bug or a new feature, but i feel this is one step back from 1.6.0.

Hi Joergen,

As discussed yesterday, can you please try with the videos on an local SSD/HDD and not through a network.

Keep us posted with your results.

Thanks,

Martin
