APV 1.5 render slows then stops

by pana2000 » Sat Apr 19, 2014 10:04 am

System
Win 7 64 bit
Intel i7 960@3.2GHZ
24 gig ram
Titan card
APV 1.5

During render
Maximum 2 min duration on timeline
anti shake enabled
frame output

Starts off really fast gets to about 30 %
Slows right down hangs about 70%

Looks like it runs out of memory when set to default frame output of 5684 x 2842

Have retested runs OK at 2160 x 1080

Good question at this point what are the recommended output settings for frame export for the outputs likely to be used
IE: 4K , 2k, 920 x 1080 ?

And is 24 gig enough ram

Thanks

Just an update

Looks like this may be drive related

Hi Pano2000,

24Gb of ram are plenty enough! This is not the main factor in terms of perfs.

Was it related to your drive? Not enough storage?

For the frame export:
UHD: 3840x1920 @ JPG quality 12
HD: 1920x960 @ JPG quality 10

Cheers,

Martin

Hi Martin

The drive was a hybrid drive with 8 mb cache Just changed it over to an ssd Thinking that will solve it however still in process of loading system I suspect once the cache ran out it slowed down

Regards
