Custom TIFFs assemble Vids in wrong order

by nickelplate » Fri Nov 01, 2013 10:54 pm

5 video cameras in an array recording 180º x 50º Pano:
I created custom images from my video frames in order stitch a certain shot. I brought the 5 videos in to APV and used the "Stitch as …" command to send to APG which created my TIFFs. I created my own custom TIFFs using the same names and put them in a custom stitch folder on my computer. This allowed me to choose video frames from different times to create the pano. The stitch in APG was successful so I saved a .pano file to use back in APV.

But in APV the videos were referencing the wrong image. The source videos were from left to right (partial spherical) 1-2-3-4-5. When I used the "Stitch as pano" command the videos ended up in this order from left to right: 4-5-1-2-3. Note: I did keep the TIFF file names in the correct order and names that APV was expecting. The work around was to change the names of the TIFFs to trick APV into putting the videos in the correct position. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?

To my mind, the problem comes from the fact that the order of the images in the layer editor does not match the order of images in the pano generated by AutopanoVideo. The good to do that might be the following:
- Generate a .pano from AutopanoVideo.
- In the directory of this .pano, replace extracted frames by your frames
- Open the .pano in APG to do the stitch
- Save the pano

Hope it helps,
