Hello

Which program do i need to stitch videos with my Samsung VR 360 cam?
I've APG already. I've seem YouTube video from Kolor they use as well APG

I intend to create aerial 360° videos with my drones. So, is Autopano video software enough for stitching and post processing?

What's the correct workflow?

Many thanks for your help

kind regards

André

The Samsung Gear 360 writes somewhat exotic video files where both lenses are in the same file, side by side. They're best stitched with Samsung's own software, either with the Android Gear 360 app, or the ActionDirector desktop program.

You won't get any of AutoPano's features (like stabilization) that way, alas.

If you want to use AVP to stitch Gear 360 footage, you'll need to duplicate the video file to two copies, then apply a circular crop to each.

Hello Skaven252

Thanks for your answer
I just did my first stitching with Samsung Art director on windows.
It's really NOT the best program. Crashed 3-times

Now way to create a directory to put alle Video/Project into one folder. You will have a mess very soon with all the files!!

How does it work with AVP to duplicate and than go on with it?

Is there a YouTube explanation video about it?

Many thanks

kind regards

ActionDirector hasn't crashed on my machine. Sounds like bad luck. You only need to import the footage into ActionDirector, and it will start stitching the video files. Instead of expoting, you can just take the stitched files from the user data folder (there's a right click command to open the folder) and move them to another folder, for editing in another program.

Here's how to stitch Gear 360 with AVP:
