MP4 renders dropping frames, worst in 4K

by Jex » Thu Jan 14, 2016 11:56 am

Hi,

Thought I was going crazy all this time but it turns out Kolor has actually been dropping frames out of my 4k MP4 exports and creating jerky video. Renders will come out noticeably smoother in Synch mode, and also in either mode at HD or below. I thought it was just jerky playback of 4k file sizes on my PC but I've dragged the clips into Premiere and analysed them frame by frame against smaller renders and they are jerking/dropping frames.

Video - GoPro Hero4Black 1440p, 25fps.
Laptop - Windows 10,
GTX970m (driver 353.62)
16gb ram
2 x SSDs

Help much appreciated

The better worklow i get so far is ouput uncompressed avi, for postproduction and for non droping frames reasons, then you can transcode your uncompressed avi to other codec that suite your needs.
