Oups... Different video sizes

by Sam_Le18 » Fri Jul 17, 2015 12:29 pm

Hi,

I work with a Freedom360-explorer and 6 gropros Hero4 Silver.
All of my cams have this setting : 1440p 48fps
BUT, I don't know why, a gopro didn't keep this setting, and recorded all videos in 1080p 30fps...
So now, I can't edit a 360 video.

I know how to transform 1440p --> 1080p, i will try with all videos in 1080p, but it could be better if i can transform 1080p --> 1440p.

I someone had this issue and know a solution, it will be very helpfull!

Thanks a lot

Sam,
with the 6 GoPro rig you need all cameras to be in 4:3 aspect ratio. 1080 won't work as not all the 360 view is covered.
You'll have holes, no matter how you stretch or crop your videos (:

Thanks Amidee for your reply.
So I need to convert my 1080p video to 1440p, but I will have some control points missing, and probably a hole. Maybe I can add some text, logo, info... in this hole

That would be an idea, although a bit odd to see maybe... Let us know the results (maybe post them here!)

Yes, but I tkink I don't have any choice. I can't stitch a video with 1080p, and GoPro says me I can't cleanly convert 1080 to 1440.
So... I only can convert 1080 to 1440, and add elements in this hole.

Thank you. I will post the result ;)
