Adjust viewpoint height?

by jboss » Fri Jul 03, 2015 12:07 pm

Hi,

is it possible to adjust the viewpoint height during or after stitching?
For example, I shoot the videos holding the rig above my head, but when viewing the video the viepoint should be a eye-level. I looked at the tutorial for adjusting the horizon, but that only covers straigthening it, I can't find if it is possible to move the whole panorama up or down.

Would it help to use the parallax correction setup (http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... -_Parallax)?

Thanks,

as far as I know, there is no way you can achieve this
keep in mind that it's the perspective that makes things at "eye level", not your actual position inside the 360 sphere.
you can see this in VR if you enable head tracking; axial movements feel like a cheat, you only feel like the world is a screen that is moving, not an actual change of viewpoint

Oh yes, you're right. The perspective will be unnatural if I move the viewpoint.
Guess I'll just sit on my knees next time :-)
