Titan video card/ GPU optimizing

by gregdowning » Tue Sep 30, 2014 6:42 pm

Anyone w/ a Titan want to chime in on the fps they get for rendering?

I am using a Quadro 4000 and only rendering at 4.8fps at a resolution of 5550x2775, sharp, multiband. iso cutting. I would certainly be ok w/ waiting longer if it were doing more but it seems like reasonably simple parameters. I am mostly curious to see what kind of boost I could get out of a videocard upgrade.

Here are the settings I am using (attached png) Temps are SSD and RAID. The machine has 80 gigs of ram on win7.

I am stitching ten (1920 x 1440 48fps) Gopro movies from an SSD to a Titan Black and back to the same SSD and getting...
9.4 fps when outputting to mp4 4k (4096 x 2048)
15.5 fps when outputting to mp4 1920 x 960

Using just six Gopro movies I get...
12.5 fps when outputting to mp4 4k (4096 x 2048)
24 fps when outputting to mp4 1920 x 960
