Consolidating options

by pana2000 » Mon Oct 07, 2013 3:56 am

Hi
Apart from FMPEG what are the options for consolidating the gopro footage
For example if the clips were alternatively opened in an NLE ( I use edius and Premier ) then saved as the cineform codec will the vision retain its optimum quality
Thanks

Hi
Just a bit more detail on this question
I found some online instructions
It indicates install of ffmpeg requires some adjustment to environmental variables in windows I'm a little bit worried about setting it incorrectly
Also instructions indicate it runs on command prompt which I'm not current familiar with
Can work through and want to maintain original image quality but is there another way to consolidate the vision such as after effects or can some nle program's consolidate with full quality
Or are there any plans to have a consolidating feature in apv
Guess it if was really easy everyone would do it !
Thanks for any advice

Hi
Still having issues with ffmpeg.
I loaded it to run via dos command which I'm not used to however the main problem is its not addressing the program on Win 7
So thinking of using an fmpeg front end
Does anyone have any recommendations on which one would be most suited to the required tasks
Thanks
