Bad news: - When I go to the Run Session control and click "Start new session," a message box fades in which says "there is one session running" and then the message box fades out. - I gather that this is a problem which others have experienced from reading the thread "Unable to shoot session" in the Kolor > Panoshoot forum - The solution proposed by user PunkSkaPhil (unplugging the Panoshoot from AUX, plugging it into HC, moving the joystick around, and plugging the Panoshoot back into AUX) does not have the effect of clearing the message in my case.
So I have the following the questions: - What does the message "there is one session running" mean? - How do I make the message go away so that I can start my panoramas running? - Is there a way of setting the Panoshoot back to default fw rev. 98 settings if everything goes horribly wrong, for instance via browser URL or by some combination of key strokes on the Panoshoot mini joystick?
I must apologize in advance: i was loosely related to the developement of the T&C handheld-controller as well as to the head itself. Therefore i held back for quite a time dropping in here. I´m NOT a part of Panoneed - no way. I just accompanied the developer by adding my remark as a professional user.
What i read here about one issue after the other related to the device the thread goes about i feel compelled to show alternatives.
here the Panoneed-head is shown - but what´s of more interest related to the thread might be the controller which appears at 00:58sec.
Please have a look here - it´s shown how easy and logically a controller also might work- without a laptop or other devices and without hardly understandable and very inconvenient procederes when something goes wrong.
I apologize again - i just want to help solving an issue. If a gadged doesn´t work sufficiently and provide what you need for shooting your panoramas: use another one. One which has proven it´s functionality for about 7 years now with hundreds of sold and still flawlessly working units all over the world . . . . and even today still is bought by the users who know what they need.
It works very fine on the Merlin/Orion - in fact it was developed for this head initially - and i still don´t understand why Kolor abandoned it and preferred a solution instead which showed to be hardly usable for many users.

right - sorry: i forgot this one because i don´t know it by myself.
I made experiences that wireless connection - BT or WLan - 1) sometimes may not be used and 2) sometimes is quite unstable/confusable. That´s why i prefer a cable-connection. Up to 10-15m with the handheld. No irritation due to interferences, no problems in wireless-restricted areas, no other surprises, no extra-devices.
Just plug in and start.
Of course it looks smarter with a smartphone or tablet . . - but . . . as said.
