What do-you have as equipment actually ?
Do-you have a Merlin head, BT module and Papywizard ?
Wich type of camera ?
To answer your questions:
May I use the preset generator to actually make a motion timelapse with the current hardware/software ?
has anyone made motion controlled timelapse with it ?
Only for testing ... if you have a camera who can be connected to the Merlin, this work perfectly ... I use a Canon G10 for this purpose !
You have the controls of :
- firing the camera exactly with the interval you want, this interval could be changed at different place in the script if necessary.
- full control of Pitch and Yaw
- Astronomic tracking is possible but difficult to synchronize with camera firing except if this firing is autonomous on the camera(eg. external controler, Canon Chdk of other way's)
- the Merlin displacements between the different positions are not continuous, I mean the Merlin move between each camera firingand stop for firing, this is excellent for eliminating blur's but cause sometime some 'flickering" ...
This is very powerfull but not very flexible, this need some preparations in advance ...
You can ask also to the "scripts" father "sjhenry", he has certainly used his own script, isn't ?
