Selling tours offline on USB

by Sandi » Wed May 18, 2016 2:37 pm

We've made a tour our customer wants to sell on USB support so it needs to be seen offline.
May we include PTV ? but it won't support videos.
What other solutions do we have?
Thanks
Regard

Matteo

Hi Alex
for sure it would be the easiest sokution but :
the upper part of panotour viewer page is so "filled up" with logos it seems the work has been done by kolor and not by us (add customer logo and a few buttons it becomes confusing!)
Customer need to download and install a software (not sure if we can put PTV on a usb an sell it , i'll try to find out)

The other solution would be Kr pano testing server but i fear it would be even more complex for the kind of customers
the tour is aimed to.
We are trying to work on a different approach making the usb "readable" as an online page.
I'll let you know if we can find a worthy solution.

Regards.

Matteo

I know this is a fair few months old, but curious if you ever found a resolution to this one?

Still any solutions?
VT not working offline is a big weak point for PTP, and this issue should be solved.

HI.. PTV should work as long as all assets were added into the Viewer. You can use Better Zip to include missing media content.. But, if any part of your Tour has URLs to external media, that will not be available locally using PTV.. That would be like trying to view a web site without internet access..
