Hi,

i just played a little with the beta of your new plugin. At first: congrats! Really nice!
Some suggestions for the final release:

- I would like to have the possibility to change the size of the thumbnails. Seem a little large to me. Also the choice of the orientation (horizonal and vertical) of the thumbs would be nice.
- It would be fine to have an option for displaying the pano name directly over the pano thumbnail or in the area above that contains the close button (x) and pano numbers.
- If i use single panos instead of groups of panos, i have all panos as a list. If i click of the pano name into the menu the thumbnail appears and i have to click it to open the pano. An option to open the pano directly be clicking to the name in the menu would be nice.

I'm looking foreward to see the final version!

Interesting plugin.
I think it would be interesting to choose the panoramas. Sometimes I do not want all panoramas appear in the sidebar.

Hi,
Thanks for your opinions and suggestions.
It's nice to hear interesting ideas! I'll keep them in mind.
Did anybody notice any bugs?

P.S. Waiting for someone who will post a Virtual tour with Sidebar ;)
Thanks,
Alexander.

Great plugin !!! Very good replacement for the standard solution!
What is missing:
1. Ability to change the position of the text menu in the sidebar, at least below-above
2. Ability to upload panoramas by clicking on the text menu pops up and the picture and only then you can click
3. Once fully downloaded thumbnails remain open and need to click on the X let itself hides ago
4. The ability to change the width of the sidebar
5. The position within the window of the tour (left-right-up-down)
6. Can not see the slider scrolling text menu in the width and height (or at least do a little wider)
7.Not understand why insert into the sidebar function Place classic control bar, what idea?
While not yet studied, complementing later

Thanks for your list!
Perhaps it's better to place Panorama name instead of description and display a description in a separate layer. I'll think of it.
Place classic control bar is an option to place some buttons into sidebar. For instance Fullscreen, Autorotation, Sound and Map buttons seems good to be in sidebar for me.
Thanks.

I hope for more info from users who already downloaded Sidebar, what's missing or should be improved, in your opinion?
And it would be great to see online examples!

Hi Alex
first of all i want to compliment You for your work, finally some new plugins for panotour.

I just downloaded the free version of You Sidebar plugin which i like a lot and i would like to use it in a large project for a real estate, in order to do so i would like to know which are your plans in developing this plugin and adding new features, so i will write down a list o things which i may consider useful or not:

1) the plugin should answer to the position in the style so to set the right priority, the version i am testing is always in front of everything.

2) it would be nice to use the sidebar for other plugin like you did for the logo plugin, so that i can add icons that will call every other plugin like pdf or video etc…

3)it would be really nice that names and text would go in the message file so that it can be translated when using many languages like i do

4) not so important but would be nice to have the chance to show the current pano thumbnail and not only the name

5)once the plugin is activated it should be seen in the simple button function so that i can trigger the sidebar even with another custom button.

i send you an example of a nice sidebar made with Flahificator:
http://www.regal360.com/v2/index.php/20 ... 14-58.html

they have a nice animation too

Hope to hear from You soon .

When I first saw Flashificator I was amazed, since there are some really cool graphics.. I can make a lot more interactive media using AS with Flash but.. I have walked away from Flash media since it is on its way out and also, the fact that the Flash player does not support Android which I feel was very premature since Android is the biggest platform.

I do no know why, but since along time now, I am unable to view Flahificator Tours.. I have the latest Flash Player...

I too think its great that people like Alexander are developing plugins for PTP.. I would like to see more of them...

Destiny..

Tours done by Christopher Montague are amazing.
I really liked them a lot, even if most of them were done with Flashificator.
He is re-doing them now with PTP .

http://www.regal360.com/clients/dtr/index.html
http://www.regal360.com/clients/dalimuseum/index.html
http://www.regal360.com/clients/wam/index.html
http://www.regal360.com/clients/cofi/index.html
http://www.regal360.com/clients/casino_az/index.html
etc...

Some plugins that were available in Flash, and therefore in Flashificator, are still missing in PTP.
But we are working on it, and I hope that Alexander and other developper will develop such plugins too and will share or sell them to PTP users.

Gérald

Gerald, I remember seeing that first link before, love that room... I mean.. I LOVE THAT ROOM.. I am sure that the fire was animated before which is easy to do in Flash.. Not so easy to do in JQuery or JS..

So, does the fire work your end since I am sure something is wrong with Flash my end.. These Tours are taking a very long time to load but ghereagain, my internet speed is slow today...

Hi, the sidebar looks great!

My feedback:

The default colours look good, very professional. Scrolling via mouse-wheel or click-and-drag (and swipe on touch devices, I imagine) is great. Lots of options to change colours, which is always helpful.

Some things in addition to the other comment:
- Ability to left-align the group title text.
- Another comment may have mentioned something similar, but being able to align the sidebar content to top or bottom (seems to be centred at the moment), as well as apply an offset, would be handy.
- The area available for the list of groups is fairly small (about 1/3 of screen height) - is it possible to make this larger?

Just my thoughts for now!
Cheers,
Michael

Please let's not raise dispute. I would like to keep this thread about Sidebar plugin functionality.
Let's talk about what to improve/ add/remove in the plugin, and not in xml after the export. Post here some bug reports. Thoughts about to which kind of tour it suits better and about other things. I really appreciate all your comments.
At this time I've seen just only one live tour, that is made with Sidebar, but I am not able to post link without permission. So examples are highly welcome!

Best!

Hi Alex!

I´m sorry - i misunderstood this guy with no name (Clint Eastwood? "Who are you, stranger?" ) ;) .

I just wanted to help him solving a problem. But as said: i misunderstood/misinterpreted his words and didn´t read YOUR writings first.

Nevertheless his reaction seems somewhat . . . well . .
