Somewhere between earth and sky

by Lionel Laissus » Tue Feb 03, 2009 12:16 am

It was beautiful up there :)

Ok you are right it's not really "panoramic" style picture but I wanted to share this moment with you folks.

The first picture give me the feeling to be an astronaut :D "Ok it's late I need some rest ;)"

Well, that's only because you don't get to fly over Mars every day :D I find the European forests and lakes more appealing, but then again I'm just an Earthling... Anyway, nice point of view!
Some of my panoramas, posted in the Autopano Pro flickr group.

Flying is a great experience in general, but I always enjoyed flying over Southern Europe (the mountains!) and Africa more than Central Europe.... in CE there are just cities and forests but theyre not as nice from above as mountains... and meandering rivers on Mars ;]

J'aime bien la première photo, j'aime bien moi les petites planètes... Mais... il en manque un bout !

I flew over Nevada and Utha in direction of Chicago.
I shot the pictures 30-40 minutes after takeoff.

Lionel, why did'nt you simply use auto level or curves in PS… results are a bit respecting more the color minus UV…
