You can us any lens for that. A fisheye does it with fewer shots - any fisheye. That´s the only difference: the amount of shots.

On a FX camera it´s usally 15mm or 16mm fullframe-fisheye or 10,5mm or 8mm circular fisheye.
On a DX camera it´s usually 10,5mm fullframe-fisheye or 8 mm or shorter circular.

But you also can use a non-fisheye - just need to make more shots. The advantage of making more shot with a non-fisheye is
to get higher resolution.

See it here: Canon 5D2, Nikon 35mm lens, 45 shots - http://www.360impressions.de/Klapheck/ use the zoom.

Using the 35mm you get 35000px width which means around 700mpx doing 45 shots.
Using a 15mm fisheye you get 16000px width 120mpx which means around 120mpx doing 6 shots.
That means the fisheye shots don´t provide such a deep zoom-range.

The key to all this is a very precise NPP-alignment - most important for indoor shootings.

Maybe i am wrong, but in my opinion these panos are not made by fisheye. The resolution is much to high, you can zoom in deeply. They must be made with some longer focal length.

Not so much. Theoretically it might be a D800 and s fisheye.

With a 35mm lens the resolution would be higher and the zoom-range wider. So it could be 20mm rect. on 21mpx or so.
We can only guess.

Doesn´t matter at all in the end whether it´s fisheye or not. Such shots can be done with almost every lens under 50mm (because of DOF).

@klausesser
Tks. for your informations.
You say that it is possible to make a panorama with a non-fisheye ?
With a fish-eye I take 6 shoots + 2 for floor and 1 for top.
This mean: 60 degress by shots.
With a camera 18-55 mm non-fisheye, at what degree must take the shots?

Depends on what focal length you choose in the 18-55mm range and also depends on your sensor-size.
Which head do you use? Which camera?

If made shots with a non-fisheye(normal lens), PTGUI don't make a equirectangular panorama. Done a flat panorama.
